Yeah, I know I haven't been posting much. It's amazing how much of your soul and motivation work can suck out of you. Still, I've been managing to survive so far, mostly by doing some fun things outside of work.

Lately, I've been playing "Fallout 3". It's a fun game, though it is too much like Oblivion--I really didn't like that game--for my tastes. So, I thought it was really cool when I saw these glow-in-the-dark Nuka Cola T-Shirts. Unfortunately, they are really expensive at $45.

I've heard of the Ice Hotel, but this is the first time I've heard of the Salt Hotel in Bolivia.

Extra links: An interesting place, but not high on my priority list to visit.

Even if you've never watched Man vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel, you should find this hilarious: Tee Morris has made a parody called Man vs. Child.

Watch it and rate it, please.

Via the SciPhi show, I learned about the Funny Music Project, or FuMP for short.

Sharing Talk Nerdy To Me is compulsory. It is a hilarious parody of the '80s hair band, Poison. Enjoy. :)

Damn Interesting digs into the Wilhelm Scream. If you don't think it's familiar go check the YouTube video compilation. I'm pretty sure I've heard it in every Star Wars movie. It's such a movie fixture, that once you've heard it, you'll never forget it.

This is the most creative use I've seen for 3x5 cards in a while: Jessica Hagy's Indexed. A number of sites already talked about We're all going to hell, but Somtimes average is good is very good.

So, while I'm posting...

The secret of Lost's mysterious numbers has been revealed. Maybe. I'm cynical about these PR releases. Most of the past ones have turned out to be lies. Maybe not this time, since this information comes via the game tie-in.

And a number of SciFi/Fantasy authors are turning to comics. I'm disappointed in the way Anita Blake has gone, so I'm not sure if I'd bother with the comic. I know I've already seen Martin's Hedge Knight in stores for a long time, so maybe it is being redone.

Finally, The Digital Bits has a good review of the video quality in the latest Star Wars box set. It sounds like it may be worth waiting until next year to pick up the 30th anniversary Ultimate-make-you-pay-until-you-can't-pay-anymore box set. Yeah, Lucas knows we are zealots. That's why he's rich.

One of the sites I enjoy the most during my morning browsing is [daily dose of imagery]. I really like today's picture. When I think of tranquil moments, Starbucks does not come to mind.

Also, I can't quite figure out what he's trying to sell. The sign, on the ground below his feet, is only partially legible. Maybe that is part of the appeal.
